A well-functioning and secure transport network facilitates Finland’s well-being, competitiveness, security of supply and sustainable growth

The heart of the work by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (FTIA) is to ensure a seamless and safe transport network for our customers in changing situations. We ensure the efficiency and appropriateness of transport infrastructure maintenance by making versatile use of information gathered on the state of the transport network and the needs of society. We always select measures and produce solutions based on their impact. We have a broad understanding of safety, ranging from one citizen’s journey to the broad concepts of national supply security and information security.

By taking timely measures, we ensure a sustainable transport infrastructure for the long term. For us, responsibility means not only understanding environmental impacts but also economic efficiency. There are thousands of people who work with roads, railways and waterways. Good cooperation, well-functioning markets, a network of competent partners and constantly updated operating methods guarantee high-quality solutions and, consequently, a good customer experience for the users of the transport network and those living near its routes.

The core of the FTIA operating culture is based on values that we share with our personnel: expertise, efficiency, cooperation and trust. This is how we also want to operate with our stakeholders and customers.
